Djuradj Budimir is a wireless RF, micro-/mm-wave circuits and systems expert of over 25 years’ experience as an academic. Dr. Budimir received a PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK. In March l994, he joined the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Kings College London, University of London, UK. Since January 1997, he has been with the School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Westminster, London, UK, where he is now a Reader of wireless communications and leads the Wireless Communications Research Group. He is also a Visiting Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. He has published more than 365 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings, four books/book chapters and software’s (the book Generalized Filter Design by Computer Optimization, ISBN 0-89006-579-9, Atrtech House Books, March 1998, and the Software and User’s Manual EPFIL-Waveguide E-plane Filter Design (Artech House, 2000) and a book chapter in Encyclopedia of RF and Microwave Engineering (Wiley, 2005 and 2022) over 20 Invited papers/lectures, 2 keynote presentations, over 24 Seminars/Workshops, over 2685 Google scholar citations (, one TV program (BBC World Service programme on Microwaves, 17 Nov. 2010: in the field of RF/microwave and mmWave wireless systems and technologies including 20 icp. He has an h-Index of 24 and i10-index of 72. His expertise includes design of circuits from RF through uWave/mmWave to Terahertz frequencies for 4G, 5G, B5G and 6G wireless communications, WLAN, WPT, wireless sensors, Internet of Things (IoT) and biomedical applications. He serves as an Associate Editor for IET Electronic Letters (Oct. 2015 – Jan. 2020), an associate guess editor for IET_MAP_(Special Issue on: Applications of short-range waves in IoT applications, April2022) and an associate guess editor for Electronics-Topic: Advanced Technologies in 5G Industrial IoT’ ((Jan. 2022 – present). He was a local co-chair of European Microwave Week Conference (EuMW2016)/European Antenna and Propagation Conference (EuCAP2018), a General TPC co-chair and a local arrangement chair of European Microwave Week Conference (EuMW2021)/ and member of the TPC of several conferences. He is a Member of the EPSRC Peer Review College, a senior Member of IEEE, a Member of IET and a Chartered Engineer. He has supervised 23 PhD/4 MRes/over 100 MSc theses through to completion and currently supervising 3 PhD theses as the main supervisor (DoS).
