Ali A. Farid received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electronics and communications engineering from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2012 and 2016, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara, CA, USA, in 2021. From 2012 to 2016, he was an Analog/RF IC Design Engineer with Atmel Corporation, Egypt, where he worked on high-resolution data converters (ADCs/DACs) and low-power frontends for wireless connectivity solutions. In Summer 2019, he joined Samsung Research America as an mm-wave IC design intern. He is currently a Staff Design Engineer with Intel Corp, Santa Clara, CA, USA. His current research interests include mm-wave/RF systems, circuits, and modules design for single beam and multibeam phased arrays, Massive MIMO arrays, and low power transceivers. He authored or coauthored more than 20 technical peer-reviewed conference/journal papers and has 6 issued US patents. He currently serves on the Technical Program Committee of IEEE International Symposium on Radio-Frequency Integration Technology (RFIT 2022), and the Technical Program Committee of IEEE 2022 Joint European Conference on Networks and Communications & 6G Summit (EuCNC/6G Summit).
