Wenhua Chen received the B.S. degree in microwave engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2006. From 2010 to 2011, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Intelligent RF Radio Laboratory (iRadio Lab), University of Calgary. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

His main research interests include energy-efficient power amplifier, digital predistortion, and microwave integrated circuits. His research group successfully proposed and demonstrated energy-efficient dual-band Doherty architecture and low complexity digital predistortion algorithms, which has been widely employed in ultra-broadband base station transmitters. He has published more than 150 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, he was awarded New Century Excellent Talents of Ministry of Education of China in 2013 and the 2014 URSI Young Scientist Award. He also received the National Science Fund of China for Excellent Young Scholars, which aims to support young scholars who have excellent achievements.

He is a member of MTT TC-12 technical committee, is included in the editorial board for International Journal of Microwave and Wireless Technology and International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, he served as TPC Co-chair of IWS 2018 and organized several workshops in international conferences. He was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques.
